student workshops
Over the last year, PANI committee members have been working closely with tutors from CAM and VisCom to design a Student Workshop programme that will help nurture up and coming talent. We're pleased to announce that this exciting programme will be kicking of in February 2009 and has the backing of local advertising agencies.
The Workshops will give students a true understanding of the various disciplines/roles within an agency that they could apply for after graduating. But more importantly, they will be given a chance to work together in their chosen roles on a live brief set by PANI. Students will be given a deadline to complete the brief, however during this time, they will be able to call on an assigned agency for help and advice. Hence, gaining a true understanding of how an agency works.
At the end of the Workshop programme, each student will receive a certificate to say they have completed the Workshop and can use this on there CV. If the Workshops are a success, in years to come we see this as having a little industry clout when students send out their CV's. In addition, an exhibition of all the final work will be held in the Blackbox when the winning team will be announced and a prize awarded.
